09.02.08 (12:07 am)   [edit]

To continue from my previous post where I spoke about the ingredients used in Kurkure, I shall today write about the Kurkure manufacture process. This will hep us decide, whether Kurkure is really harmful or is a healthy snack for consumption.

Kurkure is made from a combination of edible ingredients that are thoroughly checked for all the quality parameters. These ingredients are then blended to deliver a homogeneous mix, water is then added for further processing. Then the extrusion of the mix takes place. This extrusion process is one of the safest process as the same process is used in the manufacture of baby foods. The mixture obtained from this process is then fried to develop taste and texture and then consumer lovable flavor is added to the end product. It is then packed in to the best packaging laminate so that when the product reaches the end consumer, it is still safe for consumption.

Another interesting consideration here is that Kurkure is manufactured in ISO 14000 certified automated plants in Pune, Kolkata and Channo in Punjab that are tested for environmental safety. Some of the certifications received by the Kurkure automated plants include the HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control point) certification by TQCSI (Australia. This certification confirms that products are manufactured in Food safety environment and manufacturing has adequate controls to ensure product tracking. Another certification received by American institute of Bakery (USA), one of the best auditing body which confirms process and product safety at the Kurkure plants. These automated plants are also certified to ensure that the product, process, environment and people safety have been maintained at very high level and this certification is issued by OHSAS 18001-(Occupational Health and safety assessment series) - (USA).

Kurkure is one of the best quality product and as per the latest chain mails, there is no plastic in Kurkure. Kurkure is a safe snack and has no harmful effects.
